After a tooth extraction can the infection spread to other teeth/tooh?

I had my infected tooth extracted over a week ago, is it possible for other tooth or teeth next to it hurt for a while or even get infectected cuz of it?

Can't tell, what kind of infection? Normally if you got your molars extracted or there is an infection the dentist will prescribe antibiotics such as Clindamycin for the next 2 or so weeks.





For molars it is to make sure it does not get infected and for infected, to help in recovery.





If the dentist just removed a tooth and does not give antibiotics, chances are there is no infection and it will not spread. But yes, if it is infection there is a possibility to spread to the next tooth beside it.
