Constant neck pain and some jaw pain after wisdom tooth extraction?

I had my upper and lower wisdom teeth pulled on my left side 3 weeeks ago and now I have a reoocuring neck pain and some jaw pain and at times the pain even goes down to the top of my shoulder and at times up to my ear. The pain is on the same side as the extractions and I am wondering if it is related to my wisdom teeth extractions since it started after the was pulled?

BTW the funny part is the pain is in my neck more than anywhere and I think it is coming from the gland.

weird. was it an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who took out your wisdom teeth? you may have an infection or dry socket. you should seek consultation with an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in your area. Go to www. aaoms.org
Reply:Did the dentist put you in some kind of brace while s/he was extracting those teeth ?? That could have sprained it a little -- that's happened to me. It goes away eventually.

And ALL FOUR teeth in one sitting: OUCH!!! I had em out one at a time and it was still no fun!! I think your pain might be part of the normal healing process

But why not just ask the dentist??? Maybe you can take some Tylenol, use a warm compress on the neck? BUT let the Dentist tell you that, not me.

Good luck.
Reply:Call your dentist immediately. This could be an infection that is spreading!!!!!
