I had an upper wisdom tooth removed 4/2/07 and it still feels "funky", or "not quite right". It doesnt hurt like it did at first now it just feels "raw" and tender. What I was able to see in there was white...my gums only. I saw no hole, and I feel no hole with my tongue. It does feel kind of "itchy" like theres a piece of root still in there that is working its way out.
The last wisdom tooth I had removed was a lower one and I dont remember it being like this. This dentist was a bit rough though could this have anything to do with prolonging the healing time...such as traumatized tissue? Any thoughts or experiences will be welcome.
Thank you in advance for your advice and help.
Wisdom Tooth extraction ...healing questions?
it can be tender like that for a while but, it is possible that a bit of the root is still in there. it will work its way out if in fact there is one in there. it doesn't happen a lot but there r times when a chip of the root gets cracked off inside. you can call your dentist or oral surgeon to have them check if discomfort continues
