Tooth extraction and blood clot???

I had a lower molar pulled about 24 hours ago. This morning, I took my first rinse of warm salt water like recommended. I know a blood clot is suppose to form and when I looked in the mirror this morning at the site, i see a beige whiteish "bubble" covering the extraction site. I was expecting the blood clot to be red. Is this whitish thing my blood clot?

Reply:Yes, that is your clot. You know how if you have a scab and you soak in the tub a while, and it turns white? Same thing. Your mouth is wet, the 'scab' looks white. You're good. Just be careful not to mess with it, and just rinse. If you lose the clot you're going to get dry socket, and you don't want that!
Reply:YES IT IS. THE DARKISH RED COLOR OF THE CLOT IS COVERED BY A WHITTISH LAYER. PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO DISTURB IT.
