Tooth extraction...shifting?

So tooth #13, the yellow one in my upper mouth in this pic

is decaying. I've had two root canals done on this tooth and it has always bothered me (straight after the root canal), but I just never had the time to go get it redone, or to get the crown. Now my dentist (not the same ones who did the root canals) is telling me that it's decaying. I just really want to get rid of this tooth. If I get it extracted, will my teeth shift enough to cause gaps? Also, all of my 4 wisdom teeth have pretty much surfaced. Will my molars shift towards the front, or will all my front teeth shift towards the back?

Your age is necessary to decide about shifting teeth. There is something called the mesial (forward) drift. It happens more on the lower arch than the upper. This allows teeth to drift into other positions. However, this happens to young people. After age 18, the drift subsides, however, teeth can tip over or supererupt at any age. Have an endodontist (specialist in root canals) evaluate the tooth and follow his/her directions. If you loose the tooth, you might need a bridge or an implant.
