Twinges of pain after tooth extraction?

I had my wisdom teeth pulled two days ago, and I really have not been experiencing much pain. Then, this morning I wake up, and while I am not really in unrelenting pain, I keep feeling these twinges of slight pain in the extraction site. It almost feels as though something is adjusting in there. Is this normal or could it be a symptom of something else? Does anyone know what this could be? Is it just healing or is it something that I should speak to my doctor about considering that in the first 48-hours I was virtually pain free. I had two wisdom teeth out before and didn't feel this. The blood clot is still there, and I am still swollen, though of course not as much. Does anyone know what these twinges could be?

I can't really say. You should ask the oral surgeon. If they gave you a rinsing syringe with instructions, I would follow the instructions.

Also, if you are taking less meds now you may notice more pain. Is it possible the pain is coming from sutures pulling on the tissue as you move, talk, chew, etc?
