Detached gum after wisdom tooth extraction?

I had all my four wisdom teeth extracted three weeks ago, three impacted and one erupted. All four extraction sites healed, the problem is that one healed with about 50% of the gum detached from the front molar, the surgeon checked it last Monday and told me that he will cut part ot the gum in the side with the laser later, but neither him nor I had noticed that also part of gum at the back of the molar is detached from it.

I still had some pain last Monday in the extraction sites and he only superficially checked them, but now they are ok, so i bought one of those dental mirror and checked by myself because I feel a weird taste and the pain is back in that site, more severe than after the extractions actually. It semeed ok, but then I pushed it against my cheek and the gum in the back totally detached from the molar and a lot of liquid came out with that weird taste. Has this happened to somebody? Since the gum is already healed I don't see how it will attach to the molar again...

It sounds like maybe the extraction site has an infection. The best thing you could do is contact the oral surgeon's office, let them know what's going on and have him explain what the cause may be for that weird taste in your mouth. Be sure to let him know that there's a liquid substance coming out of the extraction site. I had all 4 third molars (wisdom teeth) taken out surgically... the same thing happened to me. I ended up having to irrigate the site with an irrigation syringe at home until the infection went away. It wasn't fun... it was painful! Good luck with this. Hope it's nothing too bad.
