After extraction of all 4 teeth.

How long after a widsom tooth extraction did you eat solid food?
about 4weeks! seriously!!





i had mine done right after thanksgiving, and for christmas i could barely eat turkey, just had to cut into small bites!!!





mine weren't showing, so they had to go into my jaw, cut them out. OUCH! swelled up like a basketball as well. trust me, milk, water, pediasure, ensure, those types of stuff are your friends for at least a week!
Reply:depends on how well the extraction goes and how good your doctor is. as soon as you can chew again, go for it. its a few days though.
Reply:They cut mine out.... it was WEEKS before I ate real food....


but on the flip side.... it was like a built in diet plan!!! I lost about 15 pounds!

Reply:Depends on who you are. I only had to wait two days, but most other people have to wait a bit longer. I would suggest waiting a little longer though, because since there were openings there, I had to use my finger to extract food sometimes and it didn't feel too nice.
Reply:might seem kindof crazy .....I really don't like to tell a lie so ....heres the truth (at least for me).....I had my teeth extracted,all 4,at noon and at 6 p.m. I dropped acid and went to the "le chat noir" yearly party at the nooksack river near Mt. Baker in Washington state ......started drinking black velvet and cokes at about 7:30...smoked a bunch of other asst. herbal remedies....ate ceasar salad,steaks and bbq'd oysters all night long.....WITH THE GAUZE STILL IN PLACE....had a really great time and felt great the next day......my Dr. said later ..its because I kept the gauze in place...??? who knows ...I'm not saying I am reccomending that you do this....but it did seem to work for me....
Reply:The day after my removal I was capable of eating french fries and other food that don't require much biting force.Within three I had been eating the usual food I ate before the surgery. do believe the medications I was prescribed played a role in this. I took an antibiotic, a fairly strong painkiller, and a steroid that reduced swelling after my surgery. I have had friends who took different medications, and had also had different times in which they began eating the same. I would say that how well the procedure goes, and your medications would have an effect on how long until you can eat solid food.
Reply:Hi Name, Those are the nothing teeth. They are so far back in your mouth you can't brush them right. I had all 4 of my Wisdom teeth pulled many years ago and I think it was about 4 days before I could eat solid food.
