Help after tooth extraction?
Getting your teeth extracted is never fun, sorry you have to experience it. But it really does sound like it is healing.

Remember you can always rinse with warm salt water that really sooths the gum; 1tsp. salt to 8oz. of warm water as warm as you can handle the water. Just remember DO NOT suck with a straw or smoke; of course you wouldn't smoke!;

that can pull out the blood clot and cause dry socket, VERY PAINFUL!!!!! Good luck you should be feeling better soon.
Reply:it sounds to be healing just fine. just chew with the other side of your mouth and you will be fine.
Reply:chillz. okay. ive had like 5 teeth pulled... your gonna be fine. its only been ab 3 hours... give it time my dear.

if you are soo parinoid... why dont you call your dentist back up?
Reply:Keep your tongue out of the wound site.

Eat soft foods for a few more days. (Eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, tomatoes, etc.)

Rinse your mouth GENTLY with salt water as often as you can - at least four or five times a day.

You'll be fine in a few more days.
Reply:Have you tried to use salt water as a rinse? also do you feel as if you are running a fever? Take some aspirin if you are not allergic, If this does not help go see your dentist again and have them re-look at it.
Reply:it takes time for it to heal,maybe a few days or a week.it might be painful but goes away in a few days.it will feel weird to eat something but you just get used to it
Reply:don't get paranoid,, you just had a bone removed from your head !! Give the body time to heal,, do not smoke,,, take it easy,, it will heal,, if it is infected,, believe me,.,.,, you will know,, so far,, sounds like typical healing
Reply:You need to see your dentist. You may not have an infection but you could possibly have a dry socket. Your dentist will numb the area and apply a medicated packing in the extraction site. This should releive the pain you're feeeling.
Reply:Start rinsing your mouth with warm salt water--every hour--I've been told this is a miracle cure. Take some vitamen C and eat the broth in your soup. Tomorrow you can eat the lumps--you'll be fine in 2 more days, keep the salt water going, while awake all day. A couple of time tomorrow will be fine.. I cup of warm water and a half a teaspoon of salt......Use it after every tooth extraction...SAWn Kansas
Reply:Your gum where the tooth was extracted is gonna feel weird for about a week or so. I would just chew on the other side. If you want to eat "lumpy food", just rinse after every meal. I would just take some ibuprofen for the pain
Reply:well its going to be painful for awhile! these things take a long time ot heal....they dont heal within a few days...its normal to feel some slight pain still.....try a warm salt water rinse after every time you eat.....and just dont chew on that side.....
