Which is worse, tooth extraction or braces?

Hiya,





I am due to have a brace fitted, but have had 4 teeth extracted for it. My dentist said the worst is over but I want to know from other people's experiences is having the brace on worse than the tooth extraction?





Have to say though, the teeth extractions went better than I had expected, was so nervous.

Braces are annoying when you put them during the first week because they will pull your teeth and injure your inner lips. then you'll get used to them. you have to visit your orthodentist once a month so that he checks on them. you can ask for the ceramic braces if you care about your look, better than the metal ones, though a bit more expensive.


When the treatment is over you will be so happy with your teeth :)
Reply:well i have braces right now, i have had them for a while and actually i think they are ok, they dont look bad either, they have been good to me lol :-)
Reply:braces is worse. My sister had braces and everytime she got them tighted she cried. I had a tooth extracted and it hurt for like a day and a half.
Reply:if your talking about braces their more costly take much longer and more troublesome
Reply:I've never had to have a tooth extraction, but I had braces and they weren't at all bad. Whenever they were tightened it didn't hurt much, but there was a bit of soreness. Overall, I didn't think braces were all that painful, but then again everyone is different. You might think tooth extractions are better.
