Is tooth extraction swelling more than after the implant is placed?

I'm worried I might not be able to place my flipper in for a while after surgery, like after my extraction, which will cause my teeth to move more right? My doctor said the flipper will be placed back after surgery but wouldn't there be blood all over the place? Is the swelling less after implant surgery or same as extraction? Might be a stupid question... the tooth is my top front one, i think #8

swelling is caused by bacterial infection. So no matter what the swelling is the same. And for ur info ur middle teeth are 1 and ur wisedom teeth are 8.
Reply:#8 is a upper front tooth, for the "dentist above" swelling in ext are normal, swelling in an implant surgery is less, and it is common to place the flipper back in, if you need to remove it, take it out clean it and replace, dont leave out for long periods of time..
