Wisdom tooth extraction site concerns?

I had my second wisdom tooth pulled three days ago (I cracked it eating chicken so it was best to get it taken out). It is no longer bleeding but now it itches a little and I noticed a white film covering the extraction site. I am not sure if this is food or some healing tissue or something. I don't want to pick at it.

Wisdom tooth extraction site concerns?
That is fine, dont pick at it. It is healing
Reply:The white stuff u see on top can be fibrous tissue. It's part of the healing process. Don't pick at it. Sore and sensitivity is normal while you're healing. For hygienic reasons eat on the opposite side of the extraction for at least a week. No need to rinse really hard/well. Light rinsing (one gargle) if you want to.
