If during extraction the pressure is also applied to other teeth, is it normal to have pain to the teeth/tooth

I had a tooth extraction a few weeks ago, the pressure was applied to the tooth next to it, does it mean infection is also there? or is it normal to feel sensativity to other teeth/tooth? thanks.

Sometimes, pressure applied during the elevation process (raising the tooth from the bone) traumatizes the tooth next to the one removed. It should calm down in a few days--Advil will help (if you are able to take Ibuprofen without complication.)

If the tooth continues to bother you or becomes worse instead of increasingly better re-visit the dentist to have the tooth evaluated.
Reply:contact your dentist if you have proper pain, in an area of the jaw, but mean while gargle with hot salt water as hot as you can stand it .
Reply:other tooth might feel a little irritated from pressure of pulling tooth that should go away in few days-they should have done ex rays to determine to pull tooth if there was infection they would have seen and told you
Reply:Believe it or not,but when you have all of your teeth extracted you still get the symptoms of toothache[neuralgia] This can be be just as painful and you usually get it in really cold weather.
