Tooth extraction and now l lockjaw?
Dental extractions sometimes result in what is called muscle splinting. It may be due to holding your mouth open for an unaccustomed length of time or slight inflamation which got into the muscle. This is similar to a pulled muscle in your leg which restricts the movement of the leg.

Be assured that it is temporary.

Unfortunately there is little the dental surgeon can do to prevent this as some are more sensitive than others.

Reply:you get lockjaw from getting cut with rusty metal.

what the heck kind of a dentist did you go to?
Reply:Could you describe it? Does your jaw sort of "hang up" at the hinge if you move it just the wrong way? Or are you having muscle cramps?

Everyone I know has some sort of muscle or ligament soreness from dental work.
