Bleeding 14 days after tooth extraction?

I broke a tooth about six months ago. No insurance and kept putting it off. Finally my jaw became sore, face swelled up, and lymph nodes were swollen. Went to the doctor. Was put on antibiotics and sent to the dentist. Had the tooth pulled (#30 molar) and continued on the antibiotics. During the extraction, the top of the tooth broke, but he was able to remove each root intact. That was two weeks ago. It was very sore for the first week. My jaw still hurts. If I rub my jaw, bright red blood comes out of the extraction site. Is this normal? I read it may take a month or more to heal. It's not bleeding profusely; only when I lean on my hand or rub my jaw. Hurts from my jaw down my neck, and a slight pain to my ear. I don't smoke. Had dry socket 20 years ago when my wisdom teeth were pulled. That was severe pain. This time it's not as bad, but the bleeding bothers me.

doesnt sound normal
Reply:This is not normal. Go back to the doctor. Any follow up visit should be free and included in the surgery.
