After you have a tooth pulled and the blood clots on top is that clot supposed to fall out in a week or so?
Tooth extraction?
yes but you wont see or feel it
Reply:not really...
it's wicked complex, but basically the same as a scab, say on your arm.
the clot fills the socket and is replaced underneath by fibrinogen; fibrous connective tissue. eventually, the gums grow back over to cover the socket and the fibrinogen is replaced by bone, to some degree.
Reply:NO TAHT DOESNT SUPPOSED TO COME OUT IT SHOULD STAY TILL IT HEELS ALLTHE WAY IF THE CLOT COMES OUT IT WILL HURT SO BAD AND YOU WILL HAVE DRY SOCKET
OOOCH
Reply:MOST PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING LEAVE THE SOCKET AFTER A TOOTH EXTRACTION. THROUGH A COMPLEX HEALING PROCESS THE "HOLE" HEALS OVER AFTER THE EXTRACTION AS THOUGH NOTHING EVER HAPPENED.
