Is waiting 2 months between tooth extraction and getting braces bad?

I had to get my second bicuspid on both sides on the top removed in order to get braces. I just had the two teeth removed 3 days ago, but the dentist's office didn't have enough time to do my braces until 2 months from now. They told me that waiting this long would pose no problems, but I think the teeth around my extraction sites are already starting to shift into more crooked positions. It could be just my imagination, but I wanted to see what some other people thought about this.

Your teeth will shift a little during this time period, but probably not enough to affect your treatment time (i.e. the time you spend with your braces actually on). Good luck!
