Tooth extraction red bump?

well i just had my tooth pulled about 3 weeks ago. It went well and didn't really hurt that bad but the stitches weren't dissolving like the dentist said they would so i went to his office last week and he pulled the stitches out. So this sunday i woke up and the first thing i did was look in my mouth to see if everything is healing good and there was a red bump over the extraction it really looks like a blister..it doesn't hurt at all and it just feels weird a little annoying. I just wanted to know is this is gum actually healing or do you think i have an infection?..i called my dentist on tuesday and he said it can be normal..but not alot of people get it and to rinse with the warm salt water (which i have been doing since day #2 of my extraction) and he said if it doesnt go away by next week i'll have to come in..lol that kinda worries me..does anyone what this blister looking thing is?

It happens.

Follow your dentist's instructions and, if it still bothers you next week, call him back.
Reply:Just do as your dentist asks you and if any problems they will fix it.
